Ami Alarm
Your little pocket of reassurance.
You can't always predict when you'll feel unsafe. Maybe you're walking home alone, someone is following you, you spot someone approaching who makes you uncomfortable, or you simply need help but don't feel able to shout.
That's where Ami comes in.
Ami is a personal safety alarm designed to help you attract attention, deter a potential threat and get help when you need it all from a small device you can keep on your keys, bag or within easy reach.
Because feeling safer shouldn't mean feeling paranoid. It's about having something there just in case.
Loud enough to get noticed
If you need to activate Ami, simply pull out the top ring.
Ami immediately activates a 130dB alarm, while the red and blue lights flash to attract attention.
The combination of sound and flashing lights is designed to make people aware that something is happening and give you a way to draw attention to yourself when you need it.
To stop the alarm, simply reinsert the ring.
When might you use Ami?

You might use it if:
-
You think you're being followed
-
Someone is approaching you and you feel uncomfortable
-
You're walking home alone

You're heading to your car after work

You're out at night

More than just an alarm
Ami also has built-in lighting features, so it can be useful in everyday situations too.
Press the side button to cycle through:
🔦 Torch → 🚨 Red & blue flashing lights → Off
So whether you're trying to find your keys at the bottom of your bag or want the flashing lights to help attract attention, Ami has more than one use.
Connect Ami to your phone
Ami can also connect to your phone via Bluetooth, giving you access to additional emergency features.
Setting up Bluetooth
-
Hold the side button until you hear a sound.
-
Turn Bluetooth on on your phone.
-
Select “Ami Alarm” from your available Bluetooth devices.
-
You'll hear a beep when Ami has connected successfully.
Once connected, Ami can work alongside your phone's emergency features.
iPhone Emergency SOS
On an iPhone, make sure Emergency SOS is enabled:
Settings → Emergency SOS → Call with 5 Button Presses
You can also set up your emergency contacts through your iPhone's Emergency SOS settings.
When Ami is activated for more than 5 seconds, your connected phone can trigger its emergency functionality. Depending on your phone model and network settings, this can include calling emergency services and sending your location to your emergency contacts.
Important: Emergency SOS features are controlled by your phone and its settings. Make sure you check that Emergency SOS and your emergency contacts are set up correctly before relying on them.
Android phones
If you're using an Android phone, Ami can be set up to call a number of your choice.
You can change the number Ami calls through your Android settings, allowing you to choose the emergency contact or service that's right for you.
Battery life
We want you to have Ami ready when you need it, so we recommend giving it a quick check once a week.
If Ami is attached to your bag and connected to your phone via Bluetooth, the battery can last around 3–4 weeks, depending on use.
We still recommend checking it weekly, as accidentally pressing the buttons or activating the device can drain the battery without you realising.
What happens if you activate the alarm?
If you pull the pin and activate Ami, the device can provide approximately 60 minutes of alarm sound, flashing lights and Bluetooth functionality before the battery runs out.
That's a lot of noise but we'd rather you know exactly what to expect.
Not using Ami regularly?
If you're buying Ami as a precaution and don't expect to use it often, we recommend charging it approximately every 6 months to help prevent the battery from becoming damaged through prolonged storage.
Turning Ami off
To switch Ami off:
Press the side button twice quickly, followed by one long press.
You'll hear a sound to confirm that Ami has been switched off.
